Stan Tait’s Angel Pendant Story
In December of 2000, I was asked to design and create an Angel Pendant for a client. Her friend was struggling with cancer and loved Angels. I created The Angel Pendant and shipped it off to my client and in the ensuing months and now years, I have focused much of my attention on sharing The Angel Pendant with the world through my web site.
The site has proven to be a great success and we have sent The Angel Pendant to hundreds of people in over a dozen countries around the world. From the sales of The Angel Pendants, we have donated funds to charitable causes such as Clean Water for Haiti, an organization dedicated to building water treatment systems in one of the poorest countries in the world; Look Good Feel Better, providing wigs and hair prosthetics to men and women who have suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy; local women’s shelters and even individuals in need.
We have given away countless Angels in support of fundraising efforts by both small and large charitable groups. In addition, The Angel Pendant inspired a small town hair salon to market Angels locally enabling them to raise over $1,000.00 for their local breast cancer support group.
The Angel Pendant has been a real blessing in my life and continues to inspire me to reach out with the simple message that “Whenever an Angel Pendant is given or received, a heart is touched, a spirit is lifted and the connection between two people is strengthened”. I believe that we are Angels to one another when we give our unconditional love and support to another.
The other day I received a most welcome phone call from Fran Fisher, the recipient of that very first Angel Pendant. I was overjoyed to hear she has won her battle with cancer and that her life is filled with the positive and meaningful work of coaching others and helping them to lead richer and more meaningful lives. We all need an Angel in our lives, and I am very glad to know Fran is out there being an Angel and making such a tremendous difference in the world.

Fran Fisher’s Angel Pendant Story
In December 2000 my friend Adria Trowhill, cleared her calendar and flew to Seattle from Toronto to care for me when I came home from the hospital after my emergency colon cancer surgery.
She surrounded me with unconditional loving care 24/7 during those first two and a half weeks of my recovery. On top of all that, she surprised me with this gift of a gold angel pendant that she had commissioned by a Canadian Jewelry designer living in Muskoka, Ontario. I put the pendant on and I have worn it every day since then, as a reminder of my dearest angel friend and her healing presence in my life.
I recovered from the surgery and the chemo therapy, and today I am clear of the cancer. In January 2008 I published a book called Violet’s Vision, about Violet, the Guardian Angel of Vision. One day I was inspired to find the artist of my gold angel pendant to see if I could offer the angel pendants on the Violet’s Vision web site. I found Stan on the web, called him and we connected for the very first time. He had never known my name and I had no idea that he was contributing money to charities with The Angel Pendant. Stan is a very special man and a gifted artist. I am so honored to be a part of The Angel Pendant story, and it is my desire to pay it forward to others who are called to be Angels making a difference in the world.
